Driver Standards

Safety Rating

Every driver on this server has a local Safety Rating. It starts at 100 and can rise to a maximum of 200 through clean racing.

The rating is designed to reward respectful drivers and identify repeated unsafe driving. It is separate from Automobilista 2's built-in online rating.

Rating Bands

How Rating Increases

You gain Safety Rating by completing clean sessions. Clean racing means finishing laps without recorded impacts, repeated cuts, or unsafe behaviour.

Clean races, clean laps, and clean streaks can all improve your rating over time. Gains are gradual so that consistent good driving matters more than one lucky race.

How Rating Decreases

Rating can decrease when the server records unsafe activity, including:

  • Impacts with other drivers
  • Single-car impacts with walls or barriers
  • Repeated impacts in the same session
  • Track-cut events
  • Patterns of disruptive driving

The system is conservative: a single contact does not automatically mean intentional wrecking. Repeated incidents are treated more seriously.

Being Hit By Another Driver

The system is designed to avoid punishing innocent drivers where possible. If another driver crashes into you, the server may still record an impact event, but repeated unsafe patterns are what matter most.

If something looks wrong, the rating history can be reviewed by the server admin.

Possible Consequences

Drivers with low Safety Rating may be warned, watched, temporarily removed from the server, or banned depending on severity and repeat behaviour.

The goal is simple: race hard, race fair, leave space, and everyone gets better racing.
